We have another Gold Award Submission! Neighbourhood Care was established in 2011 and was the first domiciliary care provider in Burnham-on-Sea We pride ourselves in going the 'extra mile' and always providing the highest standard of care and support to our customers As our team has grown, so has our reputation - receiving 'outstanding' for caring in our last CQC inspection After some thought we decided (along with our references) to create a video that our staff and customers could be a part of In this video, you can see a little bit about us and what we do #teampurple #careisntjustacareer Customer references: I love knowing that my carers will come to see me. They are all wonderful and make my life a whole lot easier. I couldn't be without them The wonderful carers helped make my mum comfortable in her last few weeks. I cannot thank them all enough without exception, everyone was extemerly thoughtful and kind to both mum and dad. The job must be extremely hard but at all times everyone was patient and cheerful Neighbourhood Care brought a smile back to my face and provide excellent care. It is a real pleasure to know all of the lovely ladies The care provided to my husband during the last days of his life was professional and I felt supported by hugs in certain tearful times. I will recommend Neighbourhood Care whenever the need arises My dad thought each and every one of the carers were wonderful and they were all so supportive to me at a difficult time My dad was always impressed with how genuine & kind everyone was. Unfortunately he now needs live in care so we will be looking for the right person who will understand his private nature like Neighbourhood Care did We were grateful and humbled by the dedicated and loving care provided to Geoff over the six month period. He always looked forward to the visits, they certainly relieved boredom of not being able to go out. The care was an inspiration to us all and deepened our faith in human nature Staff references: I can honestly say until I came to Neighbourhood Care I had never worked in an environment where it's not just about looking after the customers but about looking after each other as well. Everyone in the team are there to help it doesn't matter if you have worked there for years, not worked there very long, work in the office or are management they treat everyone as equal and give everyone a chance for their voice to be heard. I am proud to be part of such a good group and I continue to learn from everyone. I also love being able to go into our customers homes and get to know them on a more personal level because we become part of their day to day life. Neighbourhood care always gives me a reason to smile I started working at Neighbourhood Care earlier this year, after making a difficult decision to leave an office job and go back to care and I'm glad I did! All of my colleagues are lovely to work with and office and management staff are supportive and always there if you need them! I love visiting the clients and hope I make a difference to their day. I can say with confidence that this job is the most rewarding experience I've ever had. This is my first role in a care environment. As I was new to the field, the training I was given was thorough and to a very high standard. I was quickly working confidently and efficiently out in the community, helping to make a positive difference to our clients. The whole team truly cares for our clients, happy to go that little bit further for their benefit. Help is always on hand when I need it, because we care for each other as well as the clients who rely on us. I’ve worked for Neighbourhood Care for almost 3 years. I really enjoy being out and about helping people in the community, I have my regular visits and have built strong relationships with the customers I see daily which is something I feel is important. It’s nice to be able to support people to remain as independent as they can and help them with things they aren’t able to do. I get a lot of satisfaction from helping others. Working here is such fun, the team is great and we all get along really well and always have a laugh. I’ve been with the company for nearly 2 years and I love it. I get on with all the staff and the clients. Putting a smile on their face makes the job even more worth while. I enjoy the variation of visits, working on single calls and double ups with my colleagues, they are hilarious and there is never a dull moment! In this job everyday is different and it’s full of surprises. I get so much satisfaction seeing our customers regain confidence and find it very rewarding to know I have helped someone become more independent through my support. This job isn’t always easy but I believe at Neighbourhood Care we have the right support, the communication between us all is great and working as a team we always manage to succeed in going the extra mile for our customers.
