Karen Dykes

Having had over a twenty five year career in the NHS as a Registered Nurse I moved to the private sector in 2013. I came to Mount Olivet Nursing Home as a Clinical Lead Nurse, leading to Registered Manager in 2016. Mount Olivet is a Nursing Home environment which offers high level Nursing care predominately for elderly. My first CQC inspection rated the Home as overall Outstanding, first Nursing Home in Torbay to receive this accolade. This inspired me and my team even further to ensure quality care for the elderly resident’s. Having laid excellent foundations and links within the community , and having a clinical background, I am confident that I am able to support, inspire and promote best practice within Residential Care Home Settings.
